Miners Pail -sapphire gravel concentrate
Find your own Montana sapphires in the rough. Direct from the Gem Mountain mine, this pail contains sapphire gravel from the Philipsburg area of Montana known as Rock Creek. Many of these stones when heat treated and faceted can be a rainbow of colors, as well as blue. These stones are known for their brilliance. This pail is direct from the mine to you with free shipping. In past years many of the Montana sapphire mines have closed down and gravel has been hard to come by. Hi! Just wanted to let you know that I purchased the two buckets of gravel from you. In the first bucket I found 380+ sapphires. In the second bucket I found 436 stones. They were all different colors. My favorite was the big pink one I found. Thanks also for your ideas. Trish

Ordered 2 buckets and sifted through the first one finding a nice little almandine garnet crystal, 3 small rubies and a couple of dozen sapphires in greens, blues, pinks and clears ranging up to the size of a small dried corn kernel. Now on to the next bucket. Some should make nice faceted stones.

I am very satisfied with my 2 miner pales of gravel. I have not counted them exactly but estimate I seperated out at least 60 sappaires from my stash. They range in size from 1 mm to as big as 6 or 7 mm. There are at least 6 different colors with the majority of them yellowish. I used a vibrating tumbler to seperate the clay from the gravel and then put the gravel on a glass picnic table top we have. It was very easy to pick out the gems from the gravel, especially in the early morning or late evening direct sunlight(they glint brightly, some especially dazzling).

I just wanted to send you a quick email to let you know we received our gravel today. We've had a lot of fun tonight "sifting" through about 1/2 of one of the buckets. We've found many small sapphires of different colors. At last count we found 171 sapphires from about 5.5 mm and smaller. Thanks for the fun!

Ok kind of hard to get a good picture don't have any sunshine today but here is what I have gotten out of my bucket. The colors are much prettier than the picture shows and the clarity is great.

8-26-07 We ordered one miners pail from you on 8/18/07 and after looking through 1/2 of the pail we had found 50 sapphires. We are very satisfied. Dick, Bismarck, ND
8-28-07 Hi Deb - After we had finished looking through the entire pail we had 180 sapphires. We took them to our personal friend who owns a jewelry store in Bismarck and who is a Registered Gemologist, and after looking at them, he was truly amazed. He picked out five of the stones and each of the five weighed over 1 carat. We have lots of color with all of the stones. Dick, Bismarck, ND
8-22-07 I want to say that both buckets were pure pleasure hunting for saphires, My wife and I were simply amazed at the abundance of saphires we found. I want to say we've tried alot of different other businesses like your own, and yours surpace expectancy. You will hear more from us. Bob and Emily
11-29-07 Had a great time "mining" at home. I hope next summer I can come visit in person. I ordered two pails of gravel concentrate. the first one produced 182 saphires of which probably 10 could be faceted. The second I'm not done with but so far over 160 saphires - all colors. I especially like the hot pink ones! Jolynn Lynden, Washington

11-5-07 While visiting our son and family in Helena MT, I ordered some buckets of gravel. I wanted my son to have the same experience I had when I went through my own buckets of your gravel. We all sat around the kitchen table and sifted through the gravel, amazed at the sapphires we found. Most enjoyable was watching my 5 year old granddaughter become a great sapphire hunter. Fun was had by all. Thank you for the fast shipping.

8-22-07 Thank you for the prompt shipping and the GREAT gravel. After purchasing gravel from a mine in Helena MT and being really disappointed in the amount of sapphires the gravel contained. I was delighted and excited to go through your gravel and find so many sapphires. I have purchased more gravel and when I am done, I will select the best sapphires to be heat treated and cut. I am so glad that I found your website, and that I am able to buy gravel for "home minning". Your shipping is the best. I can't wait for my next shippment to arrive. Thanks again. Sandy From: Westport, Washington

8-19-07 I purchased two buckets of gravel and my youngest daughter (16 years old)and I had a lot of fun finding sapphire rough!!!!!!! We found 256 stones!!!!!!! I plan to get the parcel weighed and send them for evaluation. Even if none of them are worth heat treatment and cutting, we had a great time!!!!!! What a wonderful insight into the mining and processing of gemstone rough!!!!!! My order more at a later date!!!!!! I would recommend the experience to anyone who has ever wanted to know what it is like to be prospector or hunt for buried treasure!!!!!! Sincerely, Tim Texas
6/10/07 My sister and I are 'treasure hunters', usually garage sales. When I found this website I just had to order two bags of dirt. My sister spent hours slowly going through her bag with her daughter and had the best time discovering her 'many' gemstones of a variety of colors. I am waiting for my mom to visit so we can do this together. Since we probably will never get to Montana this is a wonderful way to easily find an American treasure. Thank you so much for offering the opportunity for a reasonable price. Donna From: New York
6/9/07 I bought the 2 pail deal and found some really nice gem stones in many colors. My wife is really proud of the dark pink stone. I hope it stays the same color when I get it heat treated. Thanks for having the pail to order for disabled people as myself. Bob & Linda From: Douglass, KS
6/9/07 I have bought 3 pails . I have had a great time finding my jewels!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much.

4/17/07 We have been buying miner's buckets of sapphire gravel from Dave and Debbie for several years now, averaging 30-40 carats of sapphires per bucket. Recently, I found a 10.8 carat blue sapphire in one of the buckets! I am anxious to see just how big of a brilliant can be cut from it. More later once I have it heat treated and cut. Jerry & Debbie From: Kennewick, Washington
1/6/07 I just ordered some of the sapphire bearing gravel (2 buckets) from Montana Sapphires and I could not be happier. My children and I have justed finished washing the gravel from one of the buckets and we were amazed at the quantity and colors of the sapphires that we found in just one bucket. We all enjoyed searching for this "treasure". Thank you so much for all of the fun and happiness you provided us. Frank From: Fredericksburg, VA
3-10-08 Last week I ordered two Miner's pails for the first time. I was impressed with the amount of sapphires in each pail. After screening both pail's I came up with 24 Facet quality stones, ranging .45 carats to 1.50 carats. There also where 140 that averaged .30 carets each. That is pretty darn good. So you know I ordered two more pail's today. Thank for your fast service too. Bruce Olympia,Wa.
